Psalm 91:1-2 (NIV) says, “Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the LORD, “He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.”

So, I ask the question, “Where are you dwelling?” Are you dwelling in the shelter of the God in whom you trust? Psalm 91 has been a comfort to me during my times of loneliness; through the storms of life; when I can’t find peace.

In this psalm, you can find ‘rest”. Yet, this rest only comes when you dwell in the shelter of the Most High, our Lord and our Savior. But isn’t it comforting to know that our God, in whom we put our trust, will give us rest. Rest from the pain. Rest from the hurt. Rest from the loneliness. Rest from the chaos. God will give you rest!

When you’re in the valley and you can’t see a way out, REST, DWELL, HIDE in the shelter of the Most High God, in the shadow of the Almighty! REST, DWELL, HIDE in the One whom you can always trust! Let Psalm 91 give you rest in the shelter of the Almighty, who is our refuge and our fortress, in whom we can always trust. Where are you dwelling?
